Learn how to submit words, record pronunciations, and participate in the Chumpling community.
Getting Started
- Register – Create a free account to start contributing
- Log in – Access your dashboard and submission forms
- Explore – Browse the dictionary to see existing words
How to Submit a Word
- From your Dashboard, click Submit Entry
- Fill in the required fields:
- Word – The Chumpling term
- Meaning – English definition
- Example sentence – Usage in Chumpling
- Region – Where the word is used (e.g., Avondale, Lusaka)
- Add optional information as desired
- Optional: Record your voice pronouncing the word
- Optional: Add evidence (YouTube link with timestamp)
- Click Submit for Review
Word Statuses
- Draft – Not yet submitted
- Pending – Awaiting moderator review
- Verified – Approved for dictionary
- Rejected – Not accepted (reason provided)
Voice Recording Tips
- Maximum recording length: 45 seconds
- Noise cancellation is enabled by default
- Preview your recording before submitting
- Works on mobile: iOS Safari and Android Chrome
